Ni hay decano unanimidad cuando se hace un intento por explicar por qué algunas iglesias se hallan sin presbíteros, otras sin obispos, otras donde las cabezas de la comunidad se llaman a veces obispos, a veces presbíteros. Este desacuerdo aumenta cuando surge la pregunta sobre la interpretación de los términos que designan a otros personajes que ejercen cierta autoridad fija en las comunidades cristianas primitivas. Los siguientes hechos se deben considerar como completamente establecidos:

Here “children” refers to new Christians. They have just had their sins forgiven. The spiritual young man is one who is having victory over sin, is strong in the faith, and has a strong grasp of Scripture. Hebrews 5:11-14 helps us understand that a spiritually mature believer is one who knows the Bible so that he or she can teach others.

Men who became Christians in the childhood or in their teenage years have an advantage over those who become Christians in their twenties because the Holy Spirit has been working in their lives for a longer period of time.

The questionnaire could also be given to the prospective pastor to determine his priorities and to compare his results to that of the leadership team. The questionnaire is provided as a resource.

Many pastors believe that they have a corner on God’s direction for the church. We must not forget that some lay leaders have the same problem.
